He was asked where he felt at ‘home’
A smile and a wince
I grew up not far from here in a small town.
I immediately moved out when I came home from travels.
Not generations but mentalities
A disconnect from those who had returned
I want to be in an urban space, where it is dynamic and social.
Stand tall and yet
allow yourself to sway in the wind
allow yourself to turn in different directions
allow yourself to open up and spread your petals wide
turn towards the sun
turn towards new life
turn towards your own direction.
Moon rise glow in purple skies
Brighten hope of stable times
New cycles arrive at dusk.
Far in the distance
The bells ring
Echoes are heard in the valley
Mountains roar in response.
Warmth of the sunshine
The alpine soil flourishes
